Vote May 16

CFL requests a funding increase of $13,628, or 3.77%, from school district voters on Proposition #4 at this year's school budget vote. This funding isn't part of the school budget and isn't given to the library by the school: it's decided on by voters and collected on our behalf by CCSD.

A $13,628 increase for the library will mean a tax increase of about four cents ($0.04) per thousand of assessed value. Someone whose house is assessed at $120,000 will see a total increase of about $3.67 in their annual library tax. The total amount they pay toward the library will be about $101 per year ($8.41 per month).

Right now, the library receives $362,946 per year from past referendums. This forms the largest part of our budget of $478,628.
