CFL Weekly

At the Canton Free Library, we believe it takes a village (and more) to raise a library! This week, the CFL staff would like to recognize the contributions of our volunteers. We are very grateful for our dedicated volunteers who help us with the many varied tasks that are part of the day-to-day operation of a library. Some interact with the community through programs and outreach, while others work behind the scenes to keep the library running smoothly. Each of our volunteers serves an important role in our community, and the CFL staff appreciates everything you do!

We thank Sue and Chuck Bolesh for years of service in the Outreach program. This couple brings materials to homebound patrons who are unable to physically make it to the CFL. They have been responsible for keeping the library materials accessible to several members in the community.

For many years, volunteer Bill Swafford devoted hours upon hours to the CFL. Bill processed the media collection while teaching the back office staff a thing or two about hockey. We were fortunate to have Bill volunteer for this technical and sometimes tedious task.

Snowed in? Curl up with a good book!

The forecast might not show it, but Spring is on its way! That means there's just a few more weeks to enter our "Snowbound" Winter Reading Club and win prizes for doing pretty much the best thing to do with this winter: staying inside with a great book.

Any book you read between January 5 and March 23 can be entered for weekly drawings, and you only need to read one book to be entered in the grand prize drawing for a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant! If you haven't entered yet, stop in and sign up anytime. Happy reading!
