@ Your Library
by Beverly Ewart
When these two new books came in at the same time, I was inspired to take a photo. This picture represents so well why I love the library! In these days when people can’t even sit in the same cyberspace and disagree with civility, the library offers a safe space for the exploration of different perspectives. There is room here to disagree without contempt and vitriol; there is time for a second opinion.
The pen IS sharper than the sword, and can be used to good effect in a fight, but I prefer to think of it as a plow, furrowing the mind to make it ready for good things to grow.
