Library Policies

Library Cards:
Your first card is free.
Patrons may have only 3 items checked out at a time for the first three months. The limit expires after that time.
Lose your card? Each subsequent replacement card will cost $1.00.
Adults should present identification that verifies name and current address to obtain a library card.
Children must be able to print first and last name to obtain library cards. Parent or guardian signatures are also required for those under 15 years old.

Please notify the library of any change in name, address, telephone / cellphone number or email address. You need to help us keep your contact info current! Failure to do so will prevent you from receiving notices of requested books or reminders of approaching due dates of library materials.

Lucky Day books
Music CDs for adults & children

*All DVDs and videos for adults cost $1.00 for the week; children's videos and DVDs are free. 

Renewals:
Most materials may be renewed in person, over the telephone or online if there is no waiting list. Lucky Day books and Nooks may not be renewed.
 
Materials with a two (2) week loan period may be renewed once if there is no waiting list.
Materials with a four (4) week loan period may be renewed up to 3 times if there is no waiting list.
        
ILL books (books from other libraries) may be renewed if the new date due does not conflict with the date that the book is due back to the lending library.

Fees and Fines:

Photocopies are 15¢ a side.

Most overdue Adult materials are charged 10¢ per day per item not to exceed $2.00 per item.
Lucky Day books are 25¢ per item per day.

Overdue Children’s and Young Adult materials are charged 5¢ per day per item not to exceed $1.00 per item.

Lost magazines require a payment of the cost of the individual issue.

Videos and DVDs have an overdue charge of 10¢ per video or DVD each day overdue.

Fines do not exceed $5.00 for any number of overdue items returned in a single day. We’re just happy to have our materials returned!
