Junior Edition (K12)
This periodical database is designed for students in junior high and middle school, with magazines, newspapers and reference books (most are full-text) for information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports and more.

Twayne's Author Series
Features the content of over 600 books and their authors that comprise three print series - World, US, and English Authors. The site includes biographies of authors from Chinua Achebe to Emile Zola. The series is devoted to literary critical interpretation and discussion for high school students and above.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7. Because each library creates its own eBook collection, the content you see may vary if you use the database at different libraries (your school, your public library, or your office). Business handbooks, historical references, and medical encyclopedias are available electronically.

MasterFILE Select
Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 800 general reference publications with coverage dating as far back as 1984. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Elite also includes 20 full text reference books, and an image collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.

Primary Search via Searchasaurus – (Two ways to search this site)
**Selecting Primary Search via Searchasaurus will take you to the Searchasaurus Map. The map is a screen that makes reference materials available through kid-friendly images ... along the lines of a pirates' map with the information you seek being the treasure. This search area is geared for students in Grades 1-6.

Using the Primary Search link, the site gives the typical search box options. Primary Search provides full text for 57 children’s magazines and over 100 children’s pamphlets, and is designed without a graphic interface, but for the elementary school student. It provides full text for more than 60 popular magazines for elementary and middle school research - general encyclopedias, an encyclopedia of animals, word search via the dictionary link, and many, many pictures. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and full text information dates as far back as 1990. This database is updated daily.

This database provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas. The database is updated annually.

EBSCO Animals
Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.

TOPICsearch
This current events database allows researchers to explore social, political & economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today's classrooms . TOPICsearch contains full text for over 92,000 articles from more than 2500 diverse sources, including 1,650 full text periodicals.

General Science Collection
This database offers full text coverage for more than 60 of the most popular science publications. Providing information on all aspects of the scientific world, the General Science Collection offers full text information dating back as far as 1992.
